Recently Hope Village Cafe participated in the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Epicurean Evening.  We served samples of our Shrimp and Spinach Wrap, that is served in the Cafe. Our food got rave reviews. Our theme at this year's event was "We Deliver", because.....We Do, Deliver that is.   We will deliver our wonderful Cafe food right to your door, just call or fax in your order, Tuesday thru Friday from 11:00am to 2:00pm and we'll get it to you. (local area only) We also do special orders on Monday-Friday  for Cafe Sandwich/Fruit/Dessert trays. Our prices are reasonable and our food is great.  If you haven't been to the Cafe in a while, why not come by and try some of our new menu items. Hope Soap

drying soap
I want to tell you a little more about our Hope Soap.  Hope Soap is made here at Hope Village.  We use all natural ingredients and make one small batch at a time.  Our soap is made with olive, coconut, palm, grape seed and castor oils as well as shea butter.  We mix the oils with lye, add color and fragrance and pour into our molds.  After 24 hours it's ready to unmold and slice, then comes the drying phase.  Old fashioned soap must dry for 4-6 weeks before it's hard enough to use. This type of soap is great for the skin, it has no harsh chemicals or additives.
Our other soap that we make is a glycerin base soap.  We melt the base, add color and fragrance and layer into the mold.  Each bar is completely different.
Hope Soap Lotion
We have some amazing fragrances to choose from and will certainly make special orders. We also have a very nice lotion that we sell. We do not make the lotion but add the fragrance and bottle it here. It complements the soap.
We also make sugar/salt scrubs, bath fizzes, bath teas and foaming bath salts.  Please come in and check out of Hope Soap.  We are also at the Clear Lake Shores Farmers Market on Saturdays.
We are also very excited about our new Hope Soap Candles.  We make the containers here at Hope Village, the residents paint and glaze the pots.  When then are ready we fill with candle wax and use our same great fragrances!  We are really proud of our free form pots, made by hand in the ceramic shop.  Special orders welcome.

Hope Soap

This is a pic of our newest batch of Hope Soap, fresh out of the mold and drying.  The soap is made the old fashioned way, using a blend of oils and lye.  The lye converts the oils to soap.  There is no lye left in the soap. The soap is unmolded after 24 hours and sliced.  Then the waiting begins, the soap must dry for 4-6 weeks before its hard enough to use. You can buy Hope Soap from the Gift Shop or the Farmers Market.

Hope Soap at the Farmers Market

Last Saturday was the debut of Hope Soap at the Clear Lake Shores Farmers Market.  While it felt more like we were in the Lake with all the rain, we still managed to make our presence felt and sold a few bars of our marvelous soap.  We will be there every Saturday from 9:00am til 1:00pm.  We sell, soap, lotion, bath salts, and candles all made at Hope Village.
There are some great vendors at the market: free range beef, pork and chicken, vegetables, french baked goods, ready to eat meals, Indian food, plants and much more. On nice days there is live entertainment.
See their website Clear Lake Shores Farmers Market for all the details and address if you are not already familiar with the location.
Come on out and support Hope Village and all these hardworking local merchants! See ya Saturday.
